Pillarbox Property is a family business owning and renting properties. Our purpose is to provide exceptionally managed homes for people who want to rent, with a professional, personalised and exceptional level of customer service. Pillarbox Property also offers help on all aspects of property management and maintenance, including buying, renting, broadband, wifi, smart home and garden irrigation systems.
There are currently twelve homes owned and managed in the Pillarbox Property portfolio, plus a shop with a flat above. The properties are located primarily in the south of England — Bristol, Swindon, Marlborough, Kintbury, Hungerford, Newbury, Reading, Winchester, Eastleigh and Chichester. We rent to a wide variety of tenants: students, professionals and retired people, with some properties let as serviced accommodation and others aimed at people between house moves or needing to move out during renovation works.
The owner
Sean Ogilvy
Sean is passionate about providing an exceptional level of customer service to the rental market. He believes the product is not just the house itself but everything around renting a house — fundamentally communication, from first viewings to fixing issues quickly, through to end-of-tenancy arrangements. He is proud to have been told many times that he is the best landlord.
He bought his first property as an engineering student at the University of Bristol, and over the last thirty years has continued to expand the portfolio. Sean enjoys maintaining and improving properties to the same standard as his own house, with a proactive long-term programme, and wants to make renting as easy as possible.
Sean enjoys gardening and takes pride in keeping the houses with gardens looking pristine. He has three children who are actively involved — sometimes even willingly — in the business. Outside of houses, Sean enjoys golf, the gym, walking, cooking and travelling.
